Tuning & Supporting Modifications

Garrett recommends professional ECU calibration to fully utilize the increased airflow capability of PowerMax™ turbochargers. Final power and boost capability depend heavily on ECU calibration, fuel quality, intake and exhaust flow, charge-air cooling, fuel-system capacity and the overall condition of the engine.

For higher-output VR30DDTT builds, appropriate fuel-system, cooling, intake, exhaust and engine-management upgrades should be selected according to the intended power target. Turbocharger speed, boost pressure, lambda, fuel pressure and charge-air temperature should be monitored during calibration.

Installation

Professional installation by a workshop experienced with the VR30DDTT platform is strongly recommended. Confirm all oil, coolant, intake, exhaust and actuator connections during installation and follow Garrett and Nissan service procedures. Always verify exact vehicle specification and fitment before ordering.
